Failure Is Part of the Process

Critical to finding who you are.

Avoiding failure means avoiding your success. Build your fondation of calm by acknowledging failure and its purpose.

Is it scary? It can be but only if your perception is that it is not helpful.

When you are trying to achieve your life goals you will come across setbacks. Overcoming adversity is necessary for growth and building mental and emotional resilience. When you are trying to succeed in life, it’s important to be open to obstacles. When they come up, remember you can do hard things.

“It’s only when you risk failure that you discover things. When you play it safe, you’re not expressing the utmost of your human experience.” ― Lupita Nyong’o

If you find yourself surrounded by others that bring you down when your failures pop up, you can choose to stop sharing with them. You are not obligated to share everything and justify your plans. Even friends and family that love and care for you can let their envy get in the way of your success. It doesn’t mean they are a bad person, they are likely sorting out their own stuff. Keep creating new ideas without sacrificing your vision or your resources.

History is full of many humans who had lots of failures until they found the pieces that clicked. Sometimes it is plain old luck, but more often it is those that keep getting back up. Keep practising. Keep learning. While keeping their emotions regulated and appreciated as best they can.

Be sure to learn the lessons your failures gift to you. If there is someone to blame, try to shift your focus from them back to solving your own situations and taking responsibility.
